The encoder SmartGen 3.0 has been developed for the transmission of inaudible data on the 57 kHz subcarrier of the FM broadcasting band. The RDS system uses all the functions described by the EBU specification EN 50067. The RDS encoder is programmable by computer via the RS 232 computer port. One of the advantages of the system is the ability to control and program it remotely by PC. This way, with the SAT option, it is possible to install encoders not only at the head of the network, but also in local stations and control them from the network head.
